Apartment #10 - The Taylor's Kitchen

Hello Ya'll

Thank you for your sweet comments on the
last posting. I do hope that you look for
patches at the store!

It has been a long 2 weeks and I am still trucking on
with this apartment. This is what I have done so far.

I have made the sink area from an existing sink that
I was not using. Because I always need something
that is smaller than what you can usually buy.

As you can see the kitchen is going to be small. I
am not going for a shabby chic - just an ordinary
kitchen area. A kitchen that looks like it has a bad
coat of paint on it!!
I had to make a side piece and attach it to the sink.
Since I am not good with wood, I decided to make
it from foam core board. I cut it with scissors
which is what made the jagged edge. Then glued
it to the side of the sink.
I painted the entire sink area white and then painted
pink below the sink area leaving white streaks.
This was intentional.

The top almost gave the effect of a drain board or
a little space to chop food up. The entire top is painted
white including the faucet and taps. I did not like the
brass look for this apartment.

As you can see I took off one of the doors. This open
area is to show what is in the kitchen. I wanted
everything to have an open feeling. Plus I wanted
to see everything that was on the shelves. I have
already made 6 kitchen towels and folded
them onto the shelf. I made another one
and that will be placed somewhere else.
The door is suppose to
represent a refrigerator. It will not hold tall items.
The large space to the left of the kitchen towels is
where I was going to put a tall trash can. But
now I have changed my mind. So now I do not
know what I will put in this tall space. It may take
awhile to find something to go there.

I hope that you like what I have done so far.
Thank you for visiting me!
