Hello Everyone!
Is it a hat or a mini shoe pincushion!
The lady of the Penthouse does not do
any sewing.
The Antique shoe pincushion has been in her family
for generations.
So therefore it means a lot to her.
Lots of laughs!
This was my first attempt at making a little
pincushion.
Any home would be lost without one!
Its not a tomato but I did use it as my prototype.
I didn't want a ho-hum type of
pincushion like you see everyday.
I wanted to make it a little special
like a hand me down kind of thing.
The pincushion sits on a piece of
old lace that I cut up.
My hopes is that the lace
will look a little tattered and used.
The piece hanging down is
suppose to be a little strawberry. I admit that
it doesn't quite look like one, but I don't
think that I did too badly.
I have some more of
these types of shoes that need pincushions in them.
Actually I cut these shoes, rather the feet
off of a vintage doll that was un-salvageable!
Am sorry if the pics are a little blurry.
I strive to take better pics!
Here is a close-up of my little strawberry.
It is a little big
It is a little big
and doesn't resemble a strawberry.
Now I need to stick it with some pins!
This is the top. Gee - I hope that I get better at taking pics.
Thank you for stopping by!
