APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Aptmt 4 RENT

Permelia had been
eagerly looking for an
apartment for weeks.
She came across this building
and looked at one apartment.

She told
me that the apartment didn't speak to her.
She didn't like the apartment.
So when she took
the keys back to the landlady Sherry.
Sherry gave
her another set of keys for her to go see about
the apartment on the end on the bottom floor.
So, back we went to the apartment building.
And sure enough when we walked around
the edge of the building there was the
4 Rent sign.
Just as Sherry had stated - you had
to enter into the apartment
through one set of the French doors.
Oooo we were liking this!!

This place looked interesting to Permelia.
We both marveled at how nice
the courtyard could look once
her expert hands got out there.
Look at her she wore
her hat & her stockings today!
Me think, that sometimes, the
witch protests too much!
Permelia's hands were full so she
laid down her pocketbook so she could
open the door.

Once the door was unlocked, she
picked up her purse
and pushed open the door.

Ecstatic!! Permelia
 flew into the doorway!
And what she saw immediately
captivated her. She was in love with the
stove!

She didn't waste any time heading straight
for it.

She started opening up the ovens.
She even stuck her head in - just
checking it out, she said.

She fumbled with the stove a little
more before deciding to move on.
By this time I knew that she had
found the right apartment when she
didn't even comment about the awful
sink with the refrigerator below it!
When I asked her about it - she boldly
said that she didn't care what it looked
like. The most important thing to her was
the stove.
She went on to inspect the main room.
Hmmm.....there seems to be some
water damage on lower part of the wall.
She will tell Sherry about that.
Surely she
didn't want to get charged for it if she
decided to move later on.
Permelia loved the brick floor.
She loved the entire apartment
and how it was secluded.

Coming back into the kitchen area - that's
when she saw the stone fireplace.
Permelia was in love!

Permelia decided to look more
closely at the French doors.
At least
they open that was good enough for
her.
Sherry had explained earlier that
the door knobs didn't align up because
at one time the doors on the left were
replaced with different doors.
So the knobs never got moved.
And the last tenant
that lived there had taken off the knobs on
the inside of one of the doors because he
kept it bolted all the time.
At this point Permelia
didn't seem to mind at all.
She loved the
idea of having a courtyard outside of those
doors.
She was going to tell Sherry that she
wanted the doorknobs put back on.

Permelia locked everything back up and
said this is her apartment.
She picked
up the sign so know one would see it.
I asked her how she was going to pay for
it.
Permelia told me flat out that she had
money. She makes her pay check by
selling love spells.
I told her - 'hey come clean'.
See Permelia has 2 other twin sisters.
Yes - they were triplets!
All together their names were Permelia, Clotillya,
and Sophillya. All 3 of them were
guardians of their 2 niece's.
They would be receiving
the inheritance money to take care of them.
So they all were going to be just fine
living here!
Sophillya  and Clotillya would be bringing
the girls with them on the next
broom hop!
Permelia said,
'not to worry because they could make it
work'.
My goodness - this apartment is going
to be crowded.
Has she gone mad!! Where is everyone
going to sleep!
Thank you for visiting me!

TUTORIAL - TURN FIREPLACE TOOLS INTO WANDS

Miniature Dollhouse Fireplace
tools and its holder.
Don't
you have 1 or 2 of these little sets that
decorate your mini fireplace.
Its time to think outside of the box.

Time to transform these into
WANDS!!!!

I used to have numerous sets of
these - but I seem to have lost lots of
them.
This was the only pieces that I
could find that I owned.
Oh well - they are around here somewhere!
 When I saw these
again - I looked at them in a new way.

I guess you might say that if it weren't for
my witch needing a wand - I might not would
have recognized this as such.
Take your
little Dremel sander and just sand off the unwanted
parts.
The metal is soft so it will only take about
a few seconds to cut off those offending
pieces.

Here are the pieces that I sanded off.
And this is what you are left with.
My favorite is the poker - the long one.
2 are the same size since they were the shovels.
And then (what is suppose to be the
little rake) is the smallest.
 The 2 smallest wands will
go to Permelia's 2 young nieces.

And look at the pieces you took
off surely you can use those parts for
something!

A long time ago I had taken a permanent
marker to the poker.
This knocks off what
appears to be a new look. I still do not
know if I want to paint the wands.
Right now they look a little used.

The little fireplace stand has 2 uses.
You can use it as a Parasol/Umbrella
stand or you can use it by the front door
to hold their wands.
Am not sure what I will use the stand for.

But for some suggestions - you
could use it as a stand
as a wand holder and put a sign above
it saying, "Wands here" or "Park Wands here",
with an arrow pointing down to this stand.
I think that will look so cute.

When you google wands - you will see that
there are many different
sizes and types.
The longest one that I remember
seeing was 13.5 inches long.
Of course that it too big for a
dollhouse miniature wand.
Permelia's wand
will be 3 inches long.
Paint these tools or leave as is.
The choice is up to you!
I hope that you can use this idea.

Thank you for visiting me!

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Permelia has a wand!

It only took me 5 minutes to make
the witch Permelia's  wand.
It was so easy!

And you will not believe
what I made it out of!
Can you guess?
My only problem is, 'should I paint it'?

I am making up a tutorial
and hope to post it soon!

Here is what the top of the
witches wand looks like.
Its pretty impressive - isnt it.

Here is the bottom half of the
wand

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Meet Permelia

I am telling her to turn around - but she
won't. She's a little shy. I sure do like her
long red hair.

I had to turn her around.
Permelia is a good witch.
However she didn't
like me moving her. She said that
she's gonna cast a spell on me for
interrupting her train of thought.
That is - as soon as she gets a
wand!
Permelia has griped all
afternoon. She don't like her
hat nor her clothes. Says it makes
her look plump!
While I am
thinking about it - her hat was made
from the directions using Casey's Mini's
blog. She has great directions.
I just so happen to like making
my hats without any cardboard.
I like the soft look.
Now that I have started - I cannot stop.
They are so easy and addictive!

She says and I will quote her,
"my hat looks like it has
been cut off. Don't you know that it
should be up and pointed"!
She even had the
nerve to ask me, "what is wrong
with you. Don't' you know what a
witch is suppose to look like"!
Apparently I don't.
I sat and listened to her for what seemed
like eons.

Her complaint
about her dress is that the bodice
is too tight, that it bulges her bosom
and her skirt is too loose. Well ,I can't
help it if her bosom is too tight and her
skirt is too loose because of the weight
she has gained.
Lose weight Permelia
and then maybe it will fit you better!
She does look busty doesn't she?
Shhhh, don't tell her I said that!
That will be 2 spells she will cast upon me.

Permelia needed a new dress.
The white frock is at least 14 or
15 years old. Still doesn't look bad.
But Permelia is going to check out
an apartment in just a few hours.
An apartment has come available
in the old French district.
A very desirable area.

Permelia is going to wear her old leggings
and her hat when she goes to look at the apartment.
Gonna try to look presentable.
The realtor cannot come - so she has agreed
to give Permelia the key - so she may view
the apartment in private.
She has promised me that she will be discreet.
They just might not understand and she might
get turned down for the apartment if they
know that she is a witch.
Oooo, love those great red striped leggings!
Hide them!

This old frock is definitely going into
the yard sale bin! By the way the white
loops at the neckline go around the
clothes hanger to keep it from falling off.
Permelia thought that perhaps someone
wouldn't know what it was used for.
Does Permelia think people are stupid!
The dress was easy to make and
I need to post the pattern, but
have not had the time to do
so lately - but I will!

Permelia was one of those
little kits with legs, arms and
a head with molded hair.
Since, I only had these type of
kits, I had to do the best that I could.
So I put hair on them!
And at that time she was not
a witch, just an ordinary doll.

I tried to make Permelia an
ugly witch - but it seems that I cannot do
ugly. I cannot do pretty either.
So, Permelia is in the middle of the two.
And I like her hat and her clothes!
I think that these bent hats are going to
be her trademark! When I find a star
I am going to attach it to the end of
her pointed hat. She will most likely
get mad at me. By then I am sure that
I will have 3 strikes against me.
Let's hope I am still around to post again.
Maybe the stress of moving has her in a tizzy.
Tomorrow I will show you the apartment if she
chooses it.
I hope you like Permelia's new look.

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Kitchen Witch

in miniature!
Have you ever seen one
of these kitchen witch's.
They symbolize good luck!
Some of them
are so ugly that they are down right cute.

A witch named Permelia is moving in on
the bottom floor. She is
guardian to her 2 motherless nieces.
Their names are Narcissa & Sophronia.
Narcissa is sometimes called 'Cissa'. (Pronounce
Cissa like sis in sister).
Sophronia is sometimes called 'Frony'.
This little kitchen witch is going to hang down
from their ceiling.
I didn't have any pattern to go by so I
had to make up my own. Truthfully
I didn't think that she was even going to turn
out! I wanted the little witch to be 1" X 1".
But I was not able to make it that little.
She measures 2" X 2".

The broom measures (from the tip
of the handle to the end
of the purple floss) 3 inches. I used a
small piece of a stick that my hubby
retrieved from the backyard for the
broom. I wanted it as natural as it could
be. Initially, I wanted
her to look ugly but apparently I am not
good at ugly!
She needs to be uglier!

Perhaps later I will dry making
another witch and painting her green.
If I do, then I will make a
tutorial.

Her eyes and mouth are drawn on
with a blue ink pen.

Here's another angle. I think
the glue on her only adds character. It
makes her look like she has some cobwebs.

I wanted a crystal or something
to hang down from the tip of her hat.
However for now I omitted it because
I couldn't find in my small stash
anything that was small enough.
Her legs are
a pink stretchy fabric.
For her shoes, I just used a permanent magic marker.

Here is the underside of her.
She is glued onto the broom. I
hope that you like my mini
kitchen witch!
Soon I will show you the
empty apartment.
