APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Damaged Furniture - Her Black Cabinet

Well, what do I call it!
'Kit bashing' or 'just plain damage'!
In this instance it was
'just plain damage'.

Abused, neglected - it was my fault
for not storing it away properly
in my attic.
I own 2 of these bookcases so it
was fortunate for me that
one did not break.
No biggy though - cause this
furniture was very cheap.

See the damage on top of the bookcase.

My intentions were to glue the bookcase
on top of the dresser.
Then attach these doors that I have
from another cabinet onto the
bookcase so some of the shelves
will hide and not collect so
much dust!
Sometimes not even the best intentions
always work.
Once I got to measuring, I found out
that the cabinet would be too high and
would not fit into the apartment.
I could have kept the dresser as it was
and just cut down the bookcase, but instead
I cut down the dresser.
Why?
Because if I kept the dresser as it was, am
sure it would look like a dresser
that had a bookcase sitting on top of it.

I cut away the 2 top drawer section of the
dresser.
Then I re-attached the dresser top.
I glued the bookcase on top of the
dresser.
I decided that the doors would not look good.
Then painted it all black!
I do not paint very well either, a skill
that I should learn to do better.
Problem is - is that I am always in a hurry.
Always something in my home life that
needs doing first.
Anyway, the damage on top of the bookcase
is hardly noticeable.

This piece just might get repainted
purple or red and go into my
witch cottage!
Thank you for stopping by!

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - OMG PERMELIA GOT WITCH BOOTS

I feel very blessed!
My b'day
is 3 months away - but my youngest
daughter decided to give me my gift
early.
She bought me these beautiful
witches boots from eBay.
Aren't they lovely!
They are so delicate - am afraid to touch them.

You cannot even see an ounce of glue
on them.
Too bad that Permelia's fat feet
can't get into them!

Thank you Pep!!
Many hugs and  kisses.

Look at these!

I am in love with these boots!!
Wished they fit me. They would
be a nice Halloween present
for a party!
Thank you for stopping by!

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Her Little Purse

I wanted to show you the little purse I
made for Permelia.
One night when
I was up late I happened upon this tutorial
by miniscrapper.
It was super-easy and
quick!
Done in like 2 minutes!
However after I
had made 2 of them - I changed the directions
for the strap.
Miniscrapper says lastly to
glue on the strap of your choice.
She gives good ideas to use for these straps.
However, I found it easier to fix the
strap first before you remove the metal
clips.
All of my purse straps are made
from the same fabric.
All I do is - take a length of
fabric, glue it together by twisting it to form
a strap.
Then open up the clip - glue one side of the
fabric strap to the inside.
Decide how long you want the strap to be.
Cut off any excess
and glue the remainder on the inside.
Now
take off the binder clips.
Refer to her
tutorial for the rest of the directions.
Sorry about changing the strap miss
miniscrapper - but I couldnt help myself!
Thank you miniscrapper for this
wonderful FAST purse!

Here is the link to miniscrapper!

What is a witch purse suppose to look like?
Does a witch even own a purse??

Thank you for visiting me!

APARTMENT WITCH PERMELIA - Aptmt 4 RENT

Permelia had been
eagerly looking for an
apartment for weeks.
She came across this building
and looked at one apartment.

She told
me that the apartment didn't speak to her.
She didn't like the apartment.
So when she took
the keys back to the landlady Sherry.
Sherry gave
her another set of keys for her to go see about
the apartment on the end on the bottom floor.
So, back we went to the apartment building.
And sure enough when we walked around
the edge of the building there was the
4 Rent sign.
Just as Sherry had stated - you had
to enter into the apartment
through one set of the French doors.
Oooo we were liking this!!

This place looked interesting to Permelia.
We both marveled at how nice
the courtyard could look once
her expert hands got out there.
Look at her she wore
her hat & her stockings today!
Me think, that sometimes, the
witch protests too much!
Permelia's hands were full so she
laid down her pocketbook so she could
open the door.

Once the door was unlocked, she
picked up her purse
and pushed open the door.

Ecstatic!! Permelia
 flew into the doorway!
And what she saw immediately
captivated her. She was in love with the
stove!

She didn't waste any time heading straight
for it.

She started opening up the ovens.
She even stuck her head in - just
checking it out, she said.

She fumbled with the stove a little
more before deciding to move on.
By this time I knew that she had
found the right apartment when she
didn't even comment about the awful
sink with the refrigerator below it!
When I asked her about it - she boldly
said that she didn't care what it looked
like. The most important thing to her was
the stove.
She went on to inspect the main room.
Hmmm.....there seems to be some
water damage on lower part of the wall.
She will tell Sherry about that.
Surely she
didn't want to get charged for it if she
decided to move later on.
Permelia loved the brick floor.
She loved the entire apartment
and how it was secluded.

Coming back into the kitchen area - that's
when she saw the stone fireplace.
Permelia was in love!

Permelia decided to look more
closely at the French doors.
At least
they open that was good enough for
her.
Sherry had explained earlier that
the door knobs didn't align up because
at one time the doors on the left were
replaced with different doors.
So the knobs never got moved.
And the last tenant
that lived there had taken off the knobs on
the inside of one of the doors because he
kept it bolted all the time.
At this point Permelia
didn't seem to mind at all.
She loved the
idea of having a courtyard outside of those
doors.
She was going to tell Sherry that she
wanted the doorknobs put back on.

Permelia locked everything back up and
said this is her apartment.
She picked
up the sign so know one would see it.
I asked her how she was going to pay for
it.
Permelia told me flat out that she had
money. She makes her pay check by
selling love spells.
I told her - 'hey come clean'.
See Permelia has 2 other twin sisters.
Yes - they were triplets!
All together their names were Permelia, Clotillya,
and Sophillya. All 3 of them were
guardians of their 2 niece's.
They would be receiving
the inheritance money to take care of them.
So they all were going to be just fine
living here!
Sophillya  and Clotillya would be bringing
the girls with them on the next
broom hop!
Permelia said,
'not to worry because they could make it
work'.
My goodness - this apartment is going
to be crowded.
Has she gone mad!! Where is everyone
going to sleep!
Thank you for visiting me!

TUTORIAL - TURN FIREPLACE TOOLS INTO WANDS

Miniature Dollhouse Fireplace
tools and its holder.
Don't
you have 1 or 2 of these little sets that
decorate your mini fireplace.
Its time to think outside of the box.

Time to transform these into
WANDS!!!!

I used to have numerous sets of
these - but I seem to have lost lots of
them.
This was the only pieces that I
could find that I owned.
Oh well - they are around here somewhere!
 When I saw these
again - I looked at them in a new way.

I guess you might say that if it weren't for
my witch needing a wand - I might not would
have recognized this as such.
Take your
little Dremel sander and just sand off the unwanted
parts.
The metal is soft so it will only take about
a few seconds to cut off those offending
pieces.

Here are the pieces that I sanded off.
And this is what you are left with.
My favorite is the poker - the long one.
2 are the same size since they were the shovels.
And then (what is suppose to be the
little rake) is the smallest.
 The 2 smallest wands will
go to Permelia's 2 young nieces.

And look at the pieces you took
off surely you can use those parts for
something!

A long time ago I had taken a permanent
marker to the poker.
This knocks off what
appears to be a new look. I still do not
know if I want to paint the wands.
Right now they look a little used.

The little fireplace stand has 2 uses.
You can use it as a Parasol/Umbrella
stand or you can use it by the front door
to hold their wands.
Am not sure what I will use the stand for.

But for some suggestions - you
could use it as a stand
as a wand holder and put a sign above
it saying, "Wands here" or "Park Wands here",
with an arrow pointing down to this stand.
I think that will look so cute.

When you google wands - you will see that
there are many different
sizes and types.
The longest one that I remember
seeing was 13.5 inches long.
Of course that it too big for a
dollhouse miniature wand.
Permelia's wand
will be 3 inches long.
Paint these tools or leave as is.
The choice is up to you!
I hope that you can use this idea.

Thank you for visiting me!
