KITCHENS - BARBIE DOLL KITCHENS DO WORK WITH MINIATURES!!!

Yes ladies and Gents - look at those
Barbie dollhouses.
Its well worth it!!!
This one is still a little dirty.
I was in such a hurry to show you that I
forgot to include the nudity clause!
 Lol's

If you decide you want one of these
Barbie kitchenettes for your own
mini dollhouse - then expect to do
a lot of damage to do the dollhouse.
Make sure that you do not want
Barbie's house any longer, cause
you will have no choice but to rip
it up!!
I had to use a hammer and do a lot
of banging to get it out!
Most of everything else will pop out.

By the way she is 5.5 to
6 inches in height.
Take a look to where the counter hits
the top of her thigh!!
See the tab at the top of the kitchen unit,
no worries here, just break/cut it off!!!

 Here is the side view.
See the tab at the bottom of the kitchen
unit - towards the back. Those were
there for the kitchenette to stay in the
plastic.

See the other tabs at the back of the kitchen.
See the long flat tab at the bottom.

The tabs at the bottom of the kitchenette were
easy to cut off.
Cut off the tab at the back also.

I was looking at the little seat.
I wanted to save it and perhaps use it,
but now I am unsure if it is going to be easy
to remove.
Perhaps I leave it , as it is molded to the floor.

I was looking at the bathroom also.
The entire bathroom is one piece
and it slid out without any problems.
This is going to make one good bathroom.
There's a piece over at
the far right of the tub which
was probably where the sink was.
I guess the sink part is missing and that
is one reason whoever owned it,
disposed of the dollhouse.
I am hopin that I can create some type of sink to
go on top of the pedestal.
If not then I will see what I can use
and try cutting it out.
If this is the spot for the sink, it surely
does look stuffed in that spot.
Perhaps it wasn't a sink??

Also the toilet is missing its cover.
I am not sure if I will keep this bathroom.

If all else fails, then I will
look for another Barbie dollhouse if I
really want the bathroom, that is.

Thank you for visiting me!
Till next time,
Conny

KITCHENS - Using a Barbie Kitchen In Your Dollhouse - WORKS GREAT!

Hello everybody!
Sorry about my absence.
My eyes are still a little blurry.
For some reason these words look very big to me.
I am not sure that they are suppose to look like this.
But that's a good thing because the little words kill my eyes.

Back in July when I was doing my thrifting I came across
2 dollhouses.
First I will talk about this one. As you can see
its plastic. Yuk!
I detest that stuff.
But look what this Barbie dollhouse
offered me.
Of course I do not want the dollhouse.
It cost only $8.00 but this little kitchen
was a steal for that price!!
It will look good in one of my apartments.
It is just the right size too!
I do have plans of painting it and when I do it will be
with the same colors as I like the shabbiness of it.

The little pink tiled floor an also be used.
You can paint it!
Click-click to see it better.
Its still a little dirty because I have not
had the time to clean it yet.
But I have started already demolishing the dollhouse.

Obviously there are some shelves inside that are missing.
But I can make shelves so that's not a problem.

And as you can see all the doors open and close properly
with no problems.

Here's what the outside of the dollhouse looks like.
Back in July I searched the internet for this dollhouse
and I couldn't find it. Apparently it is an old one.
See the little bathroom on the second floor - top left.
I am also gonna save and use
that as well. I am not sure if you will be able to see
it or not - but the tile on the floor is yellow.
Too matchy-matchy for me.
Beside the yellow toilet is a pink
bookcase that I am gonna try to save.
The toilet seat is pink - good thing it wasn't lost.

The front door even works.  It is a very nice door.
Needs a window pane.

What a cute little porch. Wish I could use some
of that porch stuff on my dollhouse.

This was suppose to be a little seat. Kind of cold isn't
it. Apparently there were pictures on the wall. Maybe
I can use this also.

This is a better photo of the tile and the little kitchenette
from the side.

I don't think that I will be able to use the stairs. That's
a shame because of the cute storage area underneath.
What I really wanted anyway was the kitchenette.
I hope that you were hitting the thrift stores this
past summer while I was away.
I do want to tell you that my eyes are not completely healed
so I when I visit your blogs - I might not be able to read any
of it to comment. Just be patient with me.
Many thanks for stopping by!
Many hugs,
Conny

APARTMENT PENTHOUSE #2 - Bernice's Antique Shoe Pincushion

Hello Everyone!

Is it a hat or a mini shoe pincushion!

The lady of the Penthouse does not do
any sewing.
The Antique shoe pincushion has been in her family
for generations.
So therefore it means a lot to her.
Lots of laughs!

This was my first attempt at making a little
pincushion.
Any home would be lost without one!

Its not a tomato but I did use it as my prototype.
I didn't want a ho-hum type of
pincushion like you see everyday.
I wanted  to make it a little special
like a hand me down kind of thing.
The pincushion sits on a piece of
old lace that I cut up.
My hopes is that the lace
will look a little tattered and used.
The piece hanging down is
suppose to be a little strawberry. I admit that
it doesn't quite look like one, but I don't
think that I did too badly.
I have some more of
these types of shoes that need pincushions in them.
Actually I cut these shoes, rather the feet
off of a vintage doll that was un-salvageable!

Am sorry if the pics are a little blurry.

I strive to take better pics!

Here is a close-up of my little strawberry.
It is a little big
and doesn't resemble a strawberry.
Now I need to stick it with some pins!

This is the top. Gee - I hope that I get better at taking pics.

Thank you for stopping by!
