DOLLHOUSE - THE VAN BUREN - Thatching Van Buren's roof!

Thank you all for the lovely
comments that you have left to
me.
You are all wonderful, sweet
ladies!

A big WELCOME to all of my new
followers.
I hope you like my blog!

Am still sick on and off.
But I did manage to get
the roof thatched.
Boy what a mess!
I am in love with the Skylights though!
It has made a
big difference inside the dollhouse.
Which I will show you later.

All that is left is to find plastic for the window panes,
door knobs
and all of the other little trivial stuff.

The skylights are not glued in and I do
not think that I am gonna glue them in.
I wanna be able to take them in and out
when I need to so I can get inside to move
things around.
For now the thatch helps
hold the skylights in.

Thank you for visiting me!
Enjoy your evening.
Mini hugs and kisses,
Conny

  13. This is a very interesting project Conny. I think your idea of leaving the skylight unglued is a good one. I'm working on the second floor partitions of the French apartment at the moment, and trying to come up with ways of keeping them all stable but without fixing them to the floor and ceiling in case I want to get them out to make it easier to access wiring in the future. I hope to get some pics on my blog this week.

Thanks for your nice comment on the tiny attic.

    1. Thanks for your note on my blog about the wall stability issue, kind of you to take the time :) My situation is a bit complicated because there are walls going in every direction! It's not a simple layout. It's taken a bit of creative thinking but I think I've got if figured out now.
