BEDS - I MADE A BEAUTIFUL ROUND BED!!

Hello everybody!
So glad to be able to give this posting
this evening. How have you been?
Are you experiencing any chilly
days now that it is Autumn.

Anyway I hope that you are well.

Thank you for your sweet comments on my
last posting and WELCOME to my blog.

I hope that you like what I show you.

My daughter said that she wanted one of these
round beds. But I do believe that she will
break it!! LOL'S

This is what I have been doing for the past 2
weeks. I saw a beautiful round miniature bed
on ebay and I just had to give it a try. That pink
bed was lovely.
This bed that I have made
turned out to be the same size as the bed that sold.
That made me happy.

However, after making this beautiful bed --
I AM SO SAD!!
This bed takes up a lot of floor space and
my little apartments cannot handle a bed of
this size.
I intended to put this bed into the
romantic apartment #9.
So now I have to do something else.
THE BED WILL NOT FIT.

COME ON -- YOU CAN DO IT,
JUST JUMP IN!!

I used a luxurious white fur, lots of lovely lace and
white glittery ribbon. I hope you can see the sparkle
of the ribbon. The fur spread is glued on and it cannot
be taken off. IT IS SO FLUFFY!!

I made 2 pillowcases that are just stuffed with
cotton balls. I made a long bolster that curves to
the shape of the headboard.

Here is a side view. Even the back of the headboard
is trimmed in fur.

The other side is just as pretty.

A view from the top

There are 2 rows of lace. Look at how the back of
my chair makes a headboard. WOW, now I wish that
I could make that headboard for this bed!! But I cannot
make that.
Thank you for visiting me.
Come again,
CONNY

  5. Hello Leilani,
I do not know what you call it or what it was used for. I own 2 round plastic steamers. I only use the steamer to cook my rice. The piece was round with nice plastic feet. That round piece stayed in my pantry until I decided to make this bed.

  6. Thank you for getting back to me Conny, I really appreciate it. The piece you had was perfect for this bed. It is one of my favorites too now. Is there a scene it's going to go into?.

    1. I was trying to make the apartment #7 romantic. The bed was supposed to go in there, but it is too big.

  7. I forgot to mention that I also like the way it looks with the chair behind it. The chair looks like a headboard. So cool looking!

  8. TIP: I keep a look out for fancy, pretty hair combs and other type pieces that would make great head and foot boards also. Sometimes I find very large fashion earrings that work for this also. Since the are cheap you can always cut them into the size you need or leave as is if the bed is going up against the wall, the back won't show anyway. So you might want to keep a look out for fancy ones too.

  9. Hi Conny, I have been trying to look for a place where I can get a free blog but I can't find a good one. I'd love to have one tho. If you know of any please let me know ok. Thank you, the bed in the pic is one I made for my little girl Becky's bedroom. It is made from throw aways, Becky's entire bedroom is made from throw aways except for maybe 1 or 2 things. Where can I put photos here so you can see them? I don't see any where I can share them.

    1. Hello Leilani,
I sure do like your Halloween things. I am re-doing my witch apartment and am making another one.
I sure could use some ideas on how to make some things.

    2. Hi Conny,

I'm glad you like my spooky wee ones and I will be more than happy to help you any way I can with Halloween ideas, just let me know what you would like to know. I made all those items from my mind, my own design and ideas. It's mostly how I work. I love TTT. I just put a few pics on Pinterest album but I have so much more you can see, I just can't put everything in there cause it would take lots of time and my little grandson ALex is Autistic and requires a lot of time and attention so my time to do other things is limited. I will check out the free blogs and see what I can find. I'll be glad to find one I can use to share my minis, tuts, projects and things.

    3. Hello Leilani,

  11. Hello Leilani,
That is very sweet of you. I will have to take you up on that one. My 2 witch apartments are coming along very slowly because of a lack of ideas. I understand how it is when you are caring for wee ones. I have had a big helping hand in raising my 4 grandchildren and am still helping with 2 of them that are living with me now.
I blog once a week cause I cannot manage anymore than that. And I have also stretched that to 2 weeks if I have to. Sometimes life gets in the way and we try to do the best that we can.
You have a lot to offer and the other bloggers will just love you!
Now I am going to see about your yahoo group. I would love to be in a group but I cannot find any around here where I live. bummer.

  12. Hi Conny,
Don't worry I know only too well about RL taking our time and just to have a little bit of self time is hard. Being a mom/g-ma is hard work no matter how you see it. I know how it is believe me, I am always busy with the g-kids myself. Re: a blog, do you remember where you found yours? maybe I can look in there. You are more than welcome to join my doll house mini group if you like. It is free and we have very caring members.
    ~Have Fun Creating!~

  13. Hello Leilani,
I surely do agree with you! One day I happened to be talking to a lady in Australia. She was so nice. She talked me into a blog and actually opened it for me. The blog is with google. Go to www.blogger.com. Most everyone uses this one. After you make this blog. It is easy to make more blogs because your dashboard has a grey block in there on the right that says new blog. You click that and start a new one.

I am in the process of answering the questions on wee creations. I still have 5 more to go. How will I know if I am accepted? This lady, I do believe that I remember who she was. If you need to I will contact her for you.
